My Journey in Art

All about art

Age 3

Picked up a paintbrush before I could tie her shoes. Crayon became oxygen; color was my first language.

Age 7

• My artwork hung in the elementary school principal’s office, the Baldwin School.

• “Fish in Water” chosen for the Overseas Chinese Youth Art Collection.

Age 8

• Unfinished future-cityscape flew straight from easel to Tyler School’s Cross-Pollination Exhibition. Teacher whispered, “Perfect is boring; brave is beautiful.” I never forgot.

Age 11

• Picasso International Youth Art Festival – First Prize, final, Group Junior.

• H.C. Andersen Global Exhibition – Gold Medal for “Meet”.

• “Noah’s Ark for Preemies” – Tencent 99 Giving Day show & corporate match, raising 35,000 RMB.

Age 12

• 12th World Cup Youth Painting – Second Prize for “Lonely Horse”.

•Designs printed on school-wide PDA T-shirts.

• Curated youth art sale; 30+ peers joined, Six original paintings sold out in minutes at my first charity auction; proceeds funded incubators for preemie families.

Age 13

•British School Olympiad – two individual silvers + giant trophy (5-person squad vs 75 artists).

From crayon scribbles to global galleries, every stroke carries the same heartbeat: art is life, life is art, and every color is a promise to the smallest among us.
